Description

We are relocating later this year, and have decided to sell our Rockwood Mini-Lite 2509S. Our travel trailer has 3,860 total miles (including transportation from Rockwood to the dealer), has been meticulously maintained and cared for, and looks brand new. We are the original owners, and purchased this brand new. PLEASE SEE ALL THE EXTRAS LISTED BELOW!

Some of our favorite features include the fantastic inside and outside kitchens! Inside, a big, energy sipping 12 volt refrigerator, microwave oven, three burner gas stove, and gas oven will not leave you missing your home kitchen. The outdoor kitchen also features a dorm-style refrigerator, a two burner gas stove on the slide-out heavy duty drawer, and a Suburban gas flat-top griddle. Two exterior propane quick connections run both the burners and the grill simultaneously, and there is plenty of propane to last the season with two 30 pound tanks on the tongue. We love the convenience and flexibility of the Murphy bed, which can be set up in 30 seconds or less!

For entertainment, an adjustable mounted TV can be quickly detached and placed on the exterior mount on the camp side of the trailer. The 2509S has an "over-the-air" digital TV / AM-FM receiver and WiFi booster mounted on the roof. There are three separate speaker zones in the trailer, two inside and one outside.

Although we enjoy the "full hook-ups" at many campgrounds, some of our favorite locations (Horseneck Beach, MA) have limited or no site connections. A large 54 gallon fresh water tank and 30 gallon each grey and black water tanks will last all weekend. The 190 watt rooftop solar, LED lights, and a 12 volt refrigerator extend the life of the house battery. A standard 1,000 watt inverter powers the receptacles and USB ports located all over the trailer, without the need to hook-up to an exterior power supply. We also pack a briefcase solar panel that plugs into a jack on the side of the camper to help the rooftop solar keep the battery charged during cloudy days.

Our trailer also has the optional "PSx4" power stabilizers, versus the standard "scissor-jack" stabilizers, making setting up camp a breeze.

The trailer has been stored INSIDE for the past three winter seasons (the beginning of November until mid-April), and has NEVER has any snow or ice on the roof. Storing indoors has also shielded the exterior from the sun's rays, which has tremendously increased the longevity of the roof and exterior finish.

All recommended maintenance and servicing has been completed including:

  • cleaning and adjusting the brakes 30 miles ago (October 2024).
  • inspecting and repacking the wheel bearings 30 miles ago (October 2024).
  • winterization every fall before storage.
  • water system sanitization every spring after storage.
  • descaling water heater, and replacing anode rods several times per season.
  • cleaning and inspecting roof at least monthly, and after every camping trip.
  • sealing the roof seems with eternabond tape (no more lap sealants needed!)
  • leak testing the propane and water systems throughout the camping season.

  • Rockwood also released a couple of service bulletins / recalls that were completed at the dealership, including:

  • inspection of the exterior awning attachment bracket for defects (none determined).
  • replacement of the cover for the roof mounted antenna due to cracking (completed).

  • Rockwood also completed the following warranty related repairs:

  • removal of the inline interior water filter housing, due to repeated instances of the threaded filter can seizing on the threads and users unable to replace the filter (Rockwood has eliminated this water filter in newer models because of this).
  • resealing the under-counter mounted kitchen sink due to gaps in the silicone caulk during assembly.
  • the dealer also removed the low-point water system drain caps, and installed 1/4 twist valves, making water system draining quick and easy.

  • Our Rockwood Mini Lite 2509S is easy to tow and maneuver. I have a Ford F150, and have no problems towing this trailer.

    Recent upgrades include:

  • new memory foam queen mattress (never used).
  • new 12 volt, 100 amp hour lithium iron phosphate house battery; our original configuration included two 6 volt flooded batteries that weighed 130 pounds total, and offered poor performance. The new LiFePO battery weighs 20 pounds, has the same usable amp hour rating, does not discharge on it's own, and will last for 10 years! I am very happy with the performance during testing in the driveway.
  • New shower head, offering great volume and pressure compared to the original device.

  • We are offering a list of extras to go with the trailer (please see the photo), totaling almost $3,000 if purchased separately, including:

  • "Blue Ox Sway-Pro" load distribution hitch. This hitch is best in class for load distribution, and is super quiet, easy to connect / disconnect, and can be used in rain and ice.
  • CAMCO 28 gal waste tote for emptying waste tanks at parks without full hook-ups. It hangs on the RV ladder, and included a bracket to tow behind your vehicle to the dump station.
  • A steel hitch mounted rack, 500 pound capacity. Great option to carry some totes or a cooler behind the trailer.
  • Everything you need to manage the waste tanks, including two waste hoses, a CAMCO "Rhino-blaster" to flush the tanks, a CAMCO "sidewinder" to pitch the waste hoses away from the trailer towards the dump site, and numerous clear elbows, adapters and wrenches.
  • Everything you need for power management, including a 25' 30 amp power cord, a power analyzer / surge protector, and 15 and 50 amp adapters for different site configurations, and a MC4 to SAE solar panel adapter for the "solar on the side".
  • Everything you need for fresh water, including a Renator pressure regulator, a 25' drinking water hose, three in-line water filters, four water heater anode rods, various brass elbows and adapters, and water heater sprayers for cleaning.
  • For stabilizing the trailer, we also have CAMCO stabilizer pads and mats, CAMCO wedge wheel levelers with chaulks, and a CAMCO tongue-jack stand
  • The new LiFePO house battery is secured in a new single battery box, but the original two battery box is included for upgrades.

  • Thank you for looking, please come and see our trailer. You won't be disappointed!
