Description

Our 2012 Sprinter 2500 van with extended ceiling was converted into a camper van in 2018 by professionals. The van was heavily insulated for cold-weather camping, solar panels were installed on the roof. The kitchen area includes a deep sink, induction stove top with 2 burners, wood counter tops, a nice-sized refrigerator, a 25 gallon clean water tank, a 5 gallon portable jug for grey water under the sink, many storage drawers and cabinets and a ceiling fan. The table and bench at the rear of that van are converted at night into a queen size bed with a 4" memory mattress. The wood cabinets at ceiling level continue through the back of the van and are more than adequate to store clothing, kitchen ware, pet supplies, books, maps, food - with room left over. There are lights throughout the van and a fan w/light on the ceiling. The van also has (4) batteries which are charged through the solar panels but the van is wired for the option of hook-up at an electrical outlet. The van has a pull-out portable toilet on rails, which slides back under a counter by the bed area. There is a shower head at the back of the van that is designed for use with the doors open, and a privacy curtain can be used across the open doors. On the back of the van we have both a spare tire and a metal box for flammable substances. We had a handcrafted screen made to give full protection from mosquitoes across our open van door, as well as privacy pads (insulated) for front and side windows at night. We paid $53,000 for the van in 2019, and added on an additional $8,500 in solar batteries, our electrical outlet option, and the rear metal box. The total for the van was $61,500. The van had 120,000 miles on it - and now has 168,000 miles but still drives like a dream. We are asking $49,000. We have camped in the Western US, Canada and Alaska, for many weeks at a time, in the van - and the van has performed beautifully. We have regular maintenance and oil changes and find the driving easy and the Mercedes-Benz hype legitimate. These vans have a reputation for running a very long time. Our refrigerator works great - and holds up to a week's worth of food. The freezer area is tiny and the door does not close. Otherwise a very good fridge. Serious inquiries only, please.
