Description

Overview. This is a low mileage and properly maintained motorhome. My wife and I purchased it from our local Camping World (Panama City, FL) in the fall of 2021. We were told the original owners traded it in on a larger model. Camping World let us keep the motorhome on their lot for free until March, 2022, when we took delivery and started using it.

Why am I selling the motorhome? We purchased land and setup a camp in nearby Wewahitchka, Florida by July of 2022. We used it on weekends at a camp where it was under a pole barn for added protection, along with taking a few trips to nearby RV campgrounds in Florida throughout the rest of 2022 and in the spring of 2023. Our hope was to travel the country, but my wife's health started to decline by the early summer of 2023 and prevented us from fulfilling that dream. We were able to continue to use the camp through the fall of 2023 when she was feeling up to it. I am now selling it because I do not have interest in traveling alone.

Features and our experiences using this motorhome. This model has a king-sized bed as well as a spacious bathroom with a shower. There is a lot of storage both inside and outside. The dinette table can adjust into a space to sleep as well as the sofa. The space above the cab is about the size of a queen-sized bed and is used as a space to sleep. Thus, there are four spaces available for sleeping which makes it a great motorhome for a family. There are TVs in the space above the cab and in the bedroom. As a bonus there is a TV and radio in a space outside (behind the entry door toward the back of the motorhome). The refrigerator/freezer can run on electric or propane and maintains cold temperatures. The water heater can also be operated with either electric or propane (we always ran it with electricity). We never boondocked with the motorhome, although I did fill and sanitize the water storage tank in 2023 and the water pump provided good pressure at that time.  The camp had a city sewer hookup so I would drain the black and grey tanks frequently, using ample water to flush them and keep solids from building up. The gas stove worked fine when we needed it, but I mostly used an outside blackstone grill/griddle for cooking at the camp. We have never actually used the oven. We did use the gas heater on cool nights in the spring and fall, and it kept the space comfortable inside. Likewise, the air conditioner could keep up with the Florida heat even in the middle of summer. I started the generator on several occasions just to make sure it would start if ever needed. We did not use it otherwise and I have not had it serviced. I can provide the cash to a buyer for the amount to have it serviced or take the motorhome to our local RV Connections for generator service as part of a sale.

What issues have I ran into with the motorhome and what maintenance has been done under my ownership? I used RV Connections here in Panama City for my first maintenance appointment in the fall of 2022. I wanted to get the oil and filter changed (Camping World indicated the oil and filter was changed at purchase). I also asked RV Connections to figure out why the radio and backup camera did not want to work after I took delivery from Camping World. They traced down a short in the electronics that fixed the issue. All mechanical aspects of the motorhome and appliances worked as expected throughout that next year. I purchased an electric air compressor to keep the tires at proper pressure.

I noticed a soft spot approximately one foot square in the floor in front of the stove in the summer of 2022. I also had RV Connections look at this with me in the fall of 2022 at my service appointment. There was no obvious water intrusion from examining the roof, outside cabinets, and windows. The design of these motorhomes uses thin plywood on a Styrofoam backing for the floor and the RV forums describe how this can lead to soft floors in traffic areas. The spot is right where I stand to do food or drink preparations and think this is the likely explanation (I am not at my high-school weight anymore!). By this time the motorhome was under the pole barn so it did not get rained on, etc. To be safe, I did recaulk the entire motorhome to make sure no water would enter when we did travel to campgrounds or places where we did not have the cover of the pole barn. The soft spot has not changed in the last two years.

I have not used the motorhome much since the fall of 2023. I spent a few nights at the camp in the early summer of 2024 trying to see if I still had any desire to use the motorhome and because I at least wanted to properly care for it. I would start the motor occasionally and even drive around town every couple of months to keep things lubricated.  I filled with real gas anytime the motorhome was going to be sitting for any period of time, though I would use regular (ethanol blend) when we traveled to other campgrounds and would use up a tank. It was about this time (late spring 2024) that a check engine light appeared. Since I routinely disconnected the engine battery (I do not have a disengage switch on the battery), I was thinking the check engine light was due to the computer sensing the disconnection and that I never drove it far enough to clear the code. I bought a code reader this spring to see if that was indeed the case and discovered it was instead due to cylinder misfires (that was not obvious because it started and seemingly ran fine). I drove the motorhome into Panama City in March of 2025 to A&D Truck Repair. The repairs have been completed and I could tell the engine was running smoother (mostly at idle when stopped but in gear) after replacing four ignition coils, two wire assemblies, all new spark plugs, a HVAC vacuum tank, a vacuum valve, and replacing the power brake booster. They also changed the oil and filter. It is ready for the road now! In total the motorhome had less than 75 miles put on it from the start of the check engine light showing up and having this service done.

I know this is a lot of information, but I wanted to share everything I knew about the motorhome and the history, as well as why I have it on the market. I sold the camp in March 2025 and the motorhome is now in a RV storage facility in Panama City, FL.
